The design process begins with a visit to your home or the proposed site. During this meeting we take note of specific aspects of your property and your requirements for your garden.

We view the site together observing any existing features such as focal points/views and surrounding environment. If you already have an architect’s plan of the property it is useful, so is information on any underground services, such as power and communication lines, drainage etc. If you haven’t don’t worry, we can find it all out.

Before our visit please consider your mid to long term plans for the property. For example, do you intend to improve for quick sale? Or do you want something you can enjoy for the rest of your lifetime? Do you employ a gardener or do you intend to maintain the garden yourself? Also consider how much you want to spend and over what period of time. Garden project costs can vary enormously dependant on the complexity of the scheme. However, if you have a budget in mind, we can work within it.

Outline Garden Plan

Once we have answers to some or all of our questions, we prepare an outline plan of the garden works. This is a black and white scale drawing of the proposed site, taken from a birds eye view, setting out the overall vision.

After agreeing a final design, we prepare costings and a schedule of works. Subsequent alterations to the nature of the work may require the quote to be revised. In this case, the work will not be undertaken without full agreement.

We manage a dedicated team of skilled craftsmen to build our designs. However, we can also work with contractors of your own choosing. We have extensive experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams if the project is more complex.

We have all necessary insurances to carry out landscape work, and we abide by safe working practices and health and safety regulations.
